Do you ever wonder........

Do you ever wonder why things happen the way they do? Why you go through the thing we have to go through? My little family has been through a LOT the last 5 months, and there have been time when I truly did not think we would make it. It has been written that God will never give us more than we can handle. That is SO stinking true, Although there were time that I thought "O Lord what are you thinking." I can now look back and say WOW I cant believe I am even still alive!
I truly believe that some times God lets us to go through things to prove to us how tough we really are and that with Him we can make it and have and it through. I know that God has been preparing me for even hared patches in my life to come and knowing what I have already done through I know I will be able to make it through them.
So if you are going through a rough patch right now, I advise you to not give up! Keep your head up and your eyes forward! For with Him NOTHING is impossible!!

What do you believe?

Last night I got in a deep conversation with one of our family friends about the bible. They had some great questions and really got me thinking that I need better answers.
How do I know it is all truth?
How do you know it is not hear say?
How can you be sure?
There was a lot of conversation and well to say the least we still left that night both not reaching common ground. But how do you explain to some body the truth when they will not open their eye even a little to hope and believe? According to them we (Christians) just live off of faith, belief, and hope. That nothing we have can stand on truth, facts, proof. That the bible is not real and is just another book that we have basted our life off of.
Well I may not have the right words to say to back up what I believe, But what I can say is I BELIEVE, The bible is true, that Jesus died for my sins, that I have truly be FULLY forgive for my sins. That I have seen my faith work!
So I will stand on the word of GOD! and pray for those who do not believe and need receive!  

2011

Its 2011 baby, 2010 was the year God promised and now 2011 we  will see this promises through....
I am so excited for this year.I love the new year! Its a new start, out with the old in with the new!!! We had a rough last part of 2010, loosing friends and finding the new us. We have be standing on Gods word, knowing that HE is SO great!!
In 2011 I am ready to grow closer to God and knowing His greatness. Knowing there is noting to separate us for the greatness of our God!!!

Idk that this town will make it .....

Today I cried, and cried, and cried... My heart so hurt for this small town and the people in it...I have never seen such sadness and loss of hope. For people to not under stand forgiveness and faith, that life is truly about more and that there is more out there. Its like a very small version of hell, people stabbing each other in back, putting others down to make themselves feel better, such hatred and lies. This poor little town needs such a but revival.
I have never been exposed to this kind of sadness. I thank God  for strong christian parents and a strong big church, thank him for the way I was raised and that I know who I am in Christ.

So as a sit here writing this I think I have somewhat give up on this small town. I will keep praying, But God you are going to have to do more here to get their attention and bring them to the realization there IS more to life...

To Save a Life Challenge!

This morning we watch the movie "To Save A Life". (Great movie and I highly recommend it.) But for me this movie hit home... Its was like God hitting me over the head again and I am finely GETTING IT..
I have been called to do so many thing and I am always excited at first, I get off to a great start and think to myself "I can SO do this"....But then the momentum slowly goes away and I find it easier to go with the current of things instead of going against the current.
In the movie the young man chooses to follow God and go away from the "in crowd", He stops going to party's and hanging out with his old friends..at one point he says "how can I be calling my self a christian and be in there playing beer pong and getting drunk with my friends" WOW what a way to hit HOME!!!! How can we be doing something the world loves and still call ourselves "Real" Christians??
Another point that really hit home was when the youth pastor Chris talk about judgment. OK I know we have all heard that we are in no place to judge people and that you can not judge a book by its cover. But for some reason this really hit home for me this morning... there are so many people out there that I judge EVERY day... why do I think I have the right to judge some one I do not TRULY know?? I do not know what their life is like and what is going on in their world....
The whole movie is about saving lives of those who do not think they are wanted or worth living for..... Have you ever thought that if we just smile or say hi to one extra person that maybe you could save their life?? What if we all took the time to ask how someone is REALLY doing?? What if we REALLY cared about others??
So I am going to challenge myself (Will you join me?) in what I am calling the "save a life challenge".  Take time every day to show someone you REALLY TRULY care. Just simple things, like asking how they are REALLY doing... Talking to someone you usually don't talk to, Smile at a stranger.. be outrageously kind and TRULY care about others...
Sound simple right??? Well I know it is not going to be the easiest thing all the times...But just think what if your one smile save someones life...even if it only brought joy for a moment. They could be thinking "maybe there really is hope out there"

Geting a grip on your lip....

Have you ever thought about what really comes out of your mouth and the power of your words?? That sticks and stones will break your bones, but words can break your heart, ruin your life and hurt others. Your words can frame your world. Do you find your self saying things you hope people remember or things you hope they forget?
Provers 18:21 says "Death and life are in the power of the tongue"
Are you speaking life or death? Are you lifting people up, or are you cutting them down?? God says in His word to lift others up and to watch what you say...... What you say is what you get.....
I know was a woman it can be extra hard to watch your tongue...But God is always there for you!!!
He was never had a day when He is not for you. So while there may be somethings you don't understand, you can rest in the fact that God has always been on your side.
I challenge you to watch what you say...Keep the words that come out of your month like life, don't cut others down! Try saying ONLY good things to people and see if you can lift them up..... Pay it forward with a kind word today!!
